Titans has taken great strides of improvement in season 2, but one element continues to drag the show into the past, literally and figuratively - the flashbacks. As the inaugural fresh offering on DC Universe, Titans debuted in 2018. Billed as a grittier and more violent take on DC characters than seen elsewhere on television, the show succeeded in finding a following on both the DC streaming service and Netflix. Unfortunately, that popularity wasn’t always earned by the writing and plotting in season 1....

Thinkapps’ Build Blog has published a few designer mockups showing what popular third-party applications might look like on Apple’s new smartwatch with some interesting results. The apps were created by several different designers, and you can see that each app maintains some of the branding and design you’d expect while conforming to the smaller wearable UI and its new input devices like the Digital Crown. Above you’ll find the design for Facebook Messenger, which features a contact view made up of circular contact photos with online indicators that closely resembles the watch’s home screen....

Deezer today is launching ‘Deezer for Creators,’ an iOS app for artists and podcasters to receive streaming trends, audience insights, and more. The ‘Deezer for Creators’ app wants to help musicians and content creators improve their reach and performance with personalized insights and stats. For the first time, artists and podcasters will have access to the same mobile app to track their musical or spoken word content. Features also include a shareable card that lets artists connect directly with fans....

One of the hottest stories of the past few weeks has been AT&T’s new DirecTV Now streaming service. We went hands-on with the service last week and noted of one major holdout in terms of channel availability: CBS. Now, however, CBS chairman and CEO Les Moonves has hinted that the two companies are in talks… Speaking at the UBS Global Media and Communications conference, Moonves explained that he very much thinks CBS will make a deal with AT&T to join the platform, but wouldn’t offer up specifics....

Former Teen Mom 2 star, David Eason claims that ex Jenelle Evans has no bond with her kids. The estranged couple is going through a divorce right now after many months of legal and financial issues and now Eason is now publically slamming Evan’s parenting ability. A worthy indie tribute to the original Resident Evil 2, Daymare 1998 excellently recaptures the atmosphere that made Raccoon City so unsettling. Much as its name suggests, Daymare 1998 is a love letter to the golden age of the survival horror genre, blending retro gameplay and plot elements with modern design sensibilities and a few clever twists. Though it was made on an indie budget by a handful of developers at Invader Studios, this game is entirely comparable in terms of content and atmosphere to its greatest source of inspiration, the original release of Resident Evil 2, all while blowing its antecedent’s visuals and clunky controls out of the water....

Ryan Reynolds, star and producer of Deadpool 2, reveals the movie originally contained a particular joke about film studio Walt Disney Pictures, but 20th Century Fox made him cut it. DC’s upcoming Black Adam movie, starring Dwayne Johnson in the title role, is expected to begin filming in late 2020, according to producer Hiram Garcia. The character was originally going to be introduced in this year’s Shazam!, but Johnson himself suggested that the studio should hold off and have him star in his own solo movie instead. As a result, the main villain in Shazam! was Doctor Sivana - though we did get a brief glimpse of Black Adam....

Warner Bros.‘Joker origin movie will introduce him as a failed comedian in the 1980s. While the studio is still working on expanding their DC Comics-based shared universe, they’re not shying away from making other, non-connected DC films. For instance, they’re continuing to stay in the animated space with Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, to further appeal to kids. They’re also looking to branch out further by telling the Clown Prince of Crime’s origin story....

Deadpool 2’s dizzying array of pop culture references can be hard to keep up with, so you’d be forgiven for missing a joke about Kevin Spacey being recast with Christopher Plummer in Ridley Scott’s recent true-story thriller All the Money in the World. Keep a close eye out for a news report during the first act of the movie, where the ticker along the bottom of the screen features a news bulletin that says “Christopher Plummer turns down role in Deadpool 2....
