When 2016’s Deadpool became a bigger-than-expected box office hit, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was put into motion. We got that follow-up a mere two years later. Deadpool 2 has turned out to be another blockbuster. Audiences just can’t get enough of the “merc with a mouth.” The odds of a third installment would appear to be 100% at this point. One of the best things about this franchise is that many of the people involved have social media accounts, including stars Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin....

Fans of the Merc with a Mouth now have a brand new action figure to pony up for, as Sideshow Collectibles/Hot Toys just listed their newest Deadpool sixth scale figure to order, coinciding with this week’s theatrical release of Deadpool 2. As per usual, Hot Toys means exceptional accuracy and sculptural detail, nerdy nods to the Deadpool franchise, and inspired accessories designed with the fans in mind. Distributor Sideshow is the exclusive retailer for Hot Toys collectible figures in North America and Europe, and this is their second cinematic Deadpool action figure....

With the Death Stranding reveal now behind everyone, information has slowly been trickling out regarding the game, and despite themes of connection and uniting humanity, it appears Kojima’s title won’t actually have that intricate of a multiplayer setup. Death Stranding has been one of the most eagerly anticipated releases ever since it was announced in 2016, and a new eight-minute-plus trailer has done little except fuel the fire for fans wanting more of the game’s bizarre but beautiful world....

To help carriers connect the dots, Dell Technologies is rolling out a series of new tools and services. They’re introducing them this week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. “Global carriers want to find a way to take advantage of more cloud-native architectures, so they can be more agile, deliver more services and grow their revenues”, Dennis Hoffman, SVP and GM for Dell Technologies Telecom Systems Business, told ZDNet....

A fan artist has put together Ryan Reyonolds and Samuel. L. Jackson’s respective Marvel superhero characters, Deadpool and NickFury for an epic poster for The Hitman’s Bodyguard. The two actors recently teamed-up in the high-octane action film, where they both play alpha males who need to work together in order to stay alive. Reynolds plays a disgraced triple A rated executive protection agent Michael Bryce, who is in charge of protecting Jackson’s Darius Kincaid/Darius Evans, a notorious criminal....

Deadpool 2’s creative team confirm Dopinder as a member of the X-Force team. Audiences met Dopinder, portrayed by Karan Sori, in the first Deadpool film as viewers saw him serving as Wade Wilson’s taxi driver. Though, it soon becomes obvious that the character has a few personal issues of his own – and Deadpool becomes his confidante throughout their drives together, which turn into therapy sessions. Thanks to Deadpool’s advice, Dopinder ends up kidnapping his cousin who has stolen the heart of his unrequited love....

This post contains SPOILERS for Deadpool 2 - In the original Deadpool, jokes were made about how the film’s lower budget prevented famous X-Men characters from making appearances, but Deadpool 2 changed that in a big way. The Ryan Reynolds-led sub-franchise essentially operates independently of the main X-Men movies, but the two series co-exist in the same cinematic universe. This was readily apparent in the first installment, where Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead had supporting roles as Wade Wilson’s unlikely allies....

A Bloomberg report says Apple is considering allowing iPhone and iPad users to choose third-party default iOS apps for things like email and web-browsing. Currently, you can use third-party apps, of course, but as we explained earlier, you can’t set them as the defaults. If Apple does go ahead with this, it will likely be reluctantly. The driving force behind it is probably not to increase customer choice, but instead to address antitrust issues....

A Nikkei report this week suggested that Apple was considering a delay to iPhone 12 production, meaning the company would no longer hit the usual September timing. Multi-time WWE champion and Hollywood star Dave Bautista unleashed a verbal smackdown after Arrow’s Stephen Amell questioned his WrestleMania match. Bautista - who wrestled simply as Batista - was of course one of WWE’s top stars for a long time, racking up accolades and pay-per-view main events like there was no tomorrow. Since hitting it big with 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy though, Bautista has primarily focused on his acting career, picking up big roles in films like Spectre and Blade Runner 2049, and reprising Drax the Destroyer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol....

Kojima Productions has announced that Death Stranding has officially gone gold. This means that the game has completed development, has been printed onto a master disc, and is headed out to manufacturers to be mass produced leading up to its street date on November 8. It’s been a strange and interesting road to release for Hideo Kojima’s latest game. Death Stranding was announced at E3 2016, and despite Kojima’s admission that development was slightly behind schedule, the game was eventually given a solid launch date of November 8....

Whilst Apple is touting the LG 5K UltraFine as the best choice for pro Mac owners today, Dell is launching a ‘5K’ display of its own … $5K that is. Leapfrogging the market, the UltraSharp UP3218K is the ‘world’s first’ 8K consumer monitor with an insane 7680×4320 resolution. With a screen size of 31.5 inches, the IPS panel touts a 279 PPI pixel density easily exceeding the Retina bar for desktop computer displays (the 5K iMac has 217 PPI)....

After a disastrous reception, Bungie is changing course on a key system in Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris: Artifact levels will no longer affect the PVP gameplay. Players joining Trials will find their power unaffected by any Artifact abilities. This is a sharp reversal of the plans previously announced for the game mode. Trials of Osiris was a popular PVP mode from Destiny 1 which pitted three-player teams against each other in a battle of skill, with the most powerful weapons the teams could find....

David Fincher might be out for director of Sony’s upcoming Steve Jobs biopic as a report from The Hollywood Reporter claims sources close to the project say Sony is currently shopping for a replacement. The report claims Fincher is asking for “aggressive demands for compensation and control,” some of which include $10 million in upfront fees and control over marketing materials. Sony isn’t officially commenting on the news, but if true, Fincher would be leaving behind producer Scott Rudin and writer Aaron Sorkin who are both involved in the Steve Jobs Sony film and previously teamed up with Fincher on The Social Network....

One of the key elements of Days Gone is trust. Not just the trust evident in the story between Deacon and his compatriots, but also a measurable meter of Trust that functions in game. There are five outposts in Days Gone, each run by a different leader and each offering different missions and gear. Doing work for them builds Trust, which in turn unlocks higher level purchases. Doing work also earns you credits which can be used to buy said purchases....

Warning: SPOILERS Ahead for Days Gone. Days Gone is less a game about zombies (partially because Days Gone doesn’t include any) and more an examination of loss, hope, and cruelty in the post-apocalypse - and all of this is evident in the Days Gone ending. How in order to rebuild the future, you have to let go of the past. And though Days Gone may not always nail these persistent themes, or occasionally feel like it’s beating a dead zombie horse, the story remains a moving portrait of love and friendship....
