Many people may be wondering who Dazzler is, after a brief but memorable cameo in the movie Dark Phoenix. While Alison Blaire has remained popular among comics readers since her introduction, the mutant heroine had yet to make an appearance in any of the live-action X-Men movies until now. It seems fitting that the singer turned superhero should make her first cinematic appearance in Dark Phoenix, given that the character first appeared in the original Dark Phoenix Saga comics....

DC and Warner Bros.’ Birds of Prey movie is about to make superhero history with its choice for director. Cathy Yan is about to close a deal to helm the DCEU film. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn has also now been confirmed to appear in the movie. It has long been rumored that Robbie’s Harley Quinn would appear in Birds of Prey, but the DCEU’s roadmap has been convoluted, especially in conjunction with Harley and the Joker....

This post contains SPOILERS for Deadpool 2 - Deadpool 2’s end credits confirm one fan theory that emerged after the original teaser trailer debuted last year. In typical Wade Wilson fashion, the marketing for this year’s highly-anticipated sequel got off atypically with a video titled Deadpool’s “Wet on Wet.” The footage primarily consists of the Merc With a Mouth pulling off a well-executed Bob Ross parody as he paints a picture and discusses life’s many pleasantries....

Deadpool 2 has a whole host of cameos, but the most thrilling was undoubtedly that of the Juggernaut. One of the X-Men’s oldest enemies in the comics, the Juggernaut was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965’s Uncanny X-Men #12. Since then, Cain Marko has traded blows with everyone from Colossus to the Incredible Hulk; he’s crossed paths with heroes as diverse as Spider-Man and Thor. Juggernaut in Deadpool 2 isn’t the first time Fox has included in their X-Men movies, although some fans may wish it was....

Death Stranding is facing off against Control for even more awards, as they have both received the most nominations at the upcoming D.I.C.E Awards. Death Stranding received polarizing reviews from critics at launch, but it has been beating out much more acclaimed games for awards around the world. Control received a positive reception at launch, despite the technical issues with the console versions of the game, but it hasn’t fared quite as well in terms of winning awards....

Demolition Man producer Joel Silver once pitched a sequel concept where Meryl Streep would have played Sylvester Stallone’s daughter. Demolition Man was an action comedy that pitted Stallone’s relentless cop against Wesley Snipes’ insane villain, with the two enemies being frozen and thawed out in a utopian future. The movie was a big hit upon release in 1993, mixing great action setpieces with surprisingly witty satire. The script for Demolition Man floated around Hollywood for years prior to being made, with everybody from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jackie Chan being considered....

It has been confirmed that Denis Villeneuve will only be tackling the first half of Frank Herbert’s novel Dune for the upcoming film. With filming possibly taking place in early 2019, the filmmakers for Dune are no doubt attempting to finalize the script so that filming can indeed take place within this time frame. Things seem to be swiftly moving along at Legendary Pictures as more updates keep pouring out for Dune....

Warner Bros. has confirmed a Flashpoint movie during their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. The studio officially launched their DC Extended Universe last year with Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - a follow-up to Snyder’s Man of Steel - and they followed up that movie with David Ayer’s Suicide Squad and Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman. Now, they’re gearing up to unite the world’s finest heroes - Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) - against Steppenwolf and his Parademon army in Snyder’s Justice League this fall....

In the long history of mankind, a few great duos, pairings and team-ups have stood the test of time. Peanut butter and jelly. Cheese and crackers. Blood and guts. Thanks to Marvel Comics’ commitment to two of its most unorthodox, and downright ludicrous, fan-favorite stars, comic fans may have another unforgettable one-two punch to look forward to come 2017. And who knows… maybe combining the powers of Deadpool and Howard the Duck in a comic series of their own isn’t so wild an idea after all....

In the aftermath of the Arrowverese’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, the entire concept of reboots has been effectively nullified in DC films and TV shows. Based on the eponymous DC Comics story line, Crisis on Infinite Earths would prove to be as sprawling and all-encompassing a crossover as the CW has ever done. No, that’s not an iPhone 6C with Touch ID, and Apple isn’t planning new iPhones for August… There is a lot of speculation right now that Apple might have leaked an upcoming device on the webpage for its new iPhone Lightning Dock, while another report claims the company has new iPhones on tap for debut in August. Bad news: both aren’t true. The iPhone image showed what appeared to be an iPhone 5c with Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint sensor not yet included in the device (pictured above)....

The newest cutscene for Destiny 2 reveals something even die-hard fans weren’t expecting – a brief but tense face-off between Osiris and Rasputin. The clip shows the esteemed warlock Osiris (a primary instigator of the latest Season of Dawn league) stepping into the heart of the AI warmind Rasputin, armed with a gun and grave warning. Long-term Destiny 2 players will recall that Rasputin appears to be currently housed in a massive Bray installation on Mars....

DC and Marvel have always taken different approaches to how they handle comics. As both companies work to craft film and television universes based off of their characters and stories, it’s no surprise that the same holds true on the screen. While Marvel was the first to introduce the idea of a shared cinematic universe, DC and Warner Bros have followed suit in the past few years in an effort to create their roster of Justice Leaguers....

When it was confirmed that Logan would break from superhero convention and not feature a post-credits scene (thankfully plenty of easter eggs), director James Mangold teased that the film would still arrive in cinemas with something a little extra for fans. This was revealed on Friday to be a teaser trailer for the upcoming Deadpool 2, which plays before the film in US theaters.
