Avengers: Endgame may have called out Captain America’s muscular buttocks for the sake of a punchline, but the joke won’t soon be forgotten. Especially not with Deadpool officially making “America’s ass” part of Steve Rogers’ legacy in the Marvel Comics Universe. Like all stories involving Deadpool, some explanation is going to be needed. As the Marvel superhero most well-known for breaking the fourth wall and conversing with the audience – now in both comics and film – it’s not surprising that Cap’s patriotic backside would be noticed (it was Deadpool who revealed the Endgame movie to the comic book Avengers, after all)....

Not one to shy away from the spotlight, Kanye West has announced that this weekend he’ll be opening up 21 pop shops around the world, some of which will be exclusively accepting Apple Pay thanks to a partnership with Square. Square’s contactless readers will be available in the U.S., Canada, and Australia so that customers can focus on paying for their items as quickly as possible. West claimed that the last pop-up shop had generated $2 million in sales in New York City alone, so a high revenue weekend like this could be great exposure for Square’s technology....

This Christmas there’s one guy in a red suit that you definitely don’t want a present from. The mystery surrounding the exit of DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan DiDio remained conspicuously unsolved this weekend at the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo, where now sole Publisher Jim Lee, like the rest of the company’s leadership, refused to directly address the issue. Opposition to Apple’s planned global flagship store in Melbourne’s Federation Square has not subsided in the seven months since revised designs were released to the public. Now, Melbourne’s city council has spoken out against proposed changes to the square that many citizens argue would irreparably disrupt the cultural fabric of the space. During a Future Melbourne Committee meeting held on March 5th, councilors and representatives from local organizations voiced their opinions about Federation Square management’s permit application to demolish the Yarra Building, a cultural center noted for its polarizing desconstructivist architecture....

Ray Fisher also wants Justice League’s Snyder Cut to be released. Following his brief appearance in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Fisher officially debuted in Warner Bros. and DC’s ensemble flick directed by Zack Snyder as Victor Stone/Cyborg. A brand new trailer for Deadpool 2 has arrived, but a mystery remains about the identity of Julian Dennison’s character, who is being hunted down by time-travelling cyborg Cable (Josh Brolin). Dennison didn’t get much screen time in the first trailer, but we did learn that he and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) are imprisoned together in a facility for containing mutants, and that Cable breaks into the place and then later attacks a prison transport....

Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have debunked a popular fan theory about Shioli Kutsuna’s character, Yukio, which suggests that she’s actually the X-Men hero Surge. Instead, they’ve pointed to a classic Japanese assassin created by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller as the inspiration for Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend. The tone and style of Deadpool 2 may be comic-book-accurate with regards to specific characters, but not all of its heroes are....

The X-Men movies might be up in the air with the Disney/Fox merger going through, but while the core series that just culminated in the predictably disappointing Dark Phoenix will be ultimately getting rebooted, Disney is reportedly happy with the Deadpool movies the way they are. The latest episode of Titans hints that Deathstroke may have killed an original member of the team. The second season of DC Universe’s flagship TV series has had a strong start; the Titans season 2 premiere wrapped up the Trigon plot, and since then the show has pivoted to focus on Deathstroke and Doctor Light. Titans has pulled this off by introducing a smart retcon; it turns out the kids are the second generation of Titans....
