Before the Destiny 2 Prestige Leviathan raid goes live, all the rewards for finishing the mode have been revealed - so as to give players a little more motivation in tackling the upgraded level. A couple of weeks after the sequel’s release on major consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4, some fans of the online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game may already be looking to up the stakes and challenges. Fortunately, Bungie has something in store for them, with the release of the more difficult version of the Leviathan raid.
Not that the standard version of the raid is not challenging enough, but the leveled-up iteration offers a little bit more for those seeking an even more hardcore Destiny 2 gameplay. And of course, the new mode also comes with a slew of some nifty new things that should make the Prestige raid more enticing for players. Bungie has already said that they do not expect everyone to clear out the level. However, these goodies might just give gamers the extra motivation they need to succeed in what would be their latest endeavor.
Arekkz Gaming from YouTube has been able to discover the different types of rewards that Prestige Leviathan players can nab if they are able to clear the level. Apparently, according to Destiny 2’s database, three sets of complete gear are for grabs: a new Calus Treasured shader, five new emblems, and a new ornament for the Legend of Acrius Exotic shotgun. The shotgun, however, can only be collected by picking up the On The Comms quest and completing the Leviathan Raid.
Each class will receive a single set of gear after finishing the Prestige raid, featuring a solid gold base with a purple glowing accent. Interestingly, the loot does not seem to include any new weapons. The rewards are geared more on cosmetics than raw power, which may be a bit disappointing for some who are expecting to get something tangible for finishing the level, especially for a supposedly difficult mode.
The Destiny 2 Prestige Leviathan raid was originally supposed to go live this week. However, Bungie decided to push it back for another week and has now a new roll-out schedule set on Wednesday, October 18 at 10am PT. The delay is due to the discovery of a serious bug in the level that makes its enemy encounters far easier than they should be. “To allow time to fix this issue, we are delaying the start of the Prestige Raid until next week. It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty,” the company has explained on their website, regarding the hold-up.
Destiny 2 is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC gamers will have to wait until October 24th to get their hands on the game.
