If you want to raise your power level, you need better gear. That means acquiring as many exotics as you can find.

Those weapons and armor sets are acquired in a variety of ways. Every player who goes through the Red War campaign will get the Sunshot, Riskrunner, or Graviton Lance for completing the Sacrilege mission (the other two you don’t pick during the mission will be available as random drops later in the game).

The rest are either rewards for specific weapon quests, loot gained for public events and Crucible matches, or random drops as exotic engrams that must be decrypted.

They can also be purchased from vendors like Xur. In this Destiny 2 guide, we’re going to go over all the exotic weapons and armor that you can acquire in-game and how to get them.

Note that the game no longer automatically starts the Year 1 story campaigns, so you may miss a bunch of these. Check out our guide to starting the Destiny 2 story campaign over here if you’ve just jumped into the new free-to-play version.
