Coming in at 66GB, Demon’s Souls on the PS5 isn’t the largest game to launch on a Sony console in recent memory. That distinction goes to other mammoth games such as Modern Warfare (and its battle royale component Warzone), as well as Red Dead Redemption 2 and a handful of others.

It’s not even the largest game on the PS5 at launch. The ultimate edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which includes Spider-Man: Miles Morales and a remastered version of Spider-Man, comes in at a whopping 105GB.

The PlayStation 5’s SSD is 825GB, though some of that space will be used up for the OS and Astro’s Playroom, which comes pre-installed on all PS5s. We don’t exactly know how big Astro’s Playroom is, but it’s a safe bet that the actual space on the PS5 SSD will be somewhere in the mid- to high-700s once all is said and done.

Though the install size for Demon’s Souls likely won’t matter to most players that have been waiting for the remake since 2009, it’s good to know how much space fans will need, especially if they end up purchasing multiple games at launch. That goes double as more games launch for the system.

The Demon’s Souls remake was first unveiled back in June during the PS5’s Future of Gaming event. Since then, we’ve gotten a better look at the action RPG through screens and a gameplay trailer. The game will release alongside the PlayStation 5 and cost $69.99.
