New set photos for The Defenders depicting Charlie Cox as Daredevil have made their way online. With Iron Fist now out, Marvel and Netflix are all ready to move forward with the ensemble series and see all of their street-level heroes team up to take down a mysterious new threat. After plenty of speculation, we finally learned last week that the show would be coming this August thanks to a new teaser that pointed towards the involvement of the Midland Circle company last seen in season two of Daredevil. The teaser also came with the unveiling of a new viral website featuring a number of newspaper headlines pointing towards the past and future of the Defenders.

Since that time, news has begun coming out at a quicker pace. The show has wrapped filming, meaning post-production will soon be followed by press and marketing. With it, we should get a full trailer for the show, but in the meantime the stars are opening up about what to expect. Case in point, Charlie Cox recently discussed the stunts and direction of the new show, letting us know how it would compare to the solo efforts we’ve seen so far. And despite the show no longer filming, images are continuing to come in that hint at the plot and action ahead.

Marvel Netflix Thailand was able to grab a new batch of Getty Images that finally show Daredevil in his full costume. Oddly, however, he’s not lurking in an alley but rather standing in a brightly lit lobby.

We’ve previously seen a set video showing the Defenders, including a costumed Daredevil, breaking into what’s likely Midland Circle, so could this be a shot from that office? If so, it’s pretty odd to see Daredevil in broad daylight heading up to the front desk like he’s checking into a hotel. Then again, these could be shots that will later be altered to make them darker. They could also be Cox hanging out before or after a scene, meaning they might not point to anything specific at all.

Last week also gave us a batch of images from the set showing Luke Cage and Claire Temple out on a date, so there’s a good chance we’ll get more unofficial looks like this at The Defenders even before Marvel deigns to give us a glimpse of the show. Hopefully, however, the impending release date will mean plenty of images and teasers are just around the corner. Whether official or unofficial, we’ll bring you all the news there is for Marvel’s latest Netflix series when it arrives, so stay tuned.

The Defenders arrives on August 18th, with The Punisher coming later this year. Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Jessica Jones season 1, Luke Cage season 1, and Iron Fist season 1 are now available on Netflix. Premiere dates for the next seasons of Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage have not yet been revealed.
