Fortnite players will be getting a new Deadpool skin in Chapter 2 Season 2. After several very odd teasers for Season 2, players are finally getting to check out the secret agent themed season. Players will have access to several secret challenges to help them unlock Deadpool.

Epic Games recently shook up the massively popular battle royale game by plunging the old map into a black hole. The company was working on an extensive rework for the game’s second chapter and needed to shut down it’s servers. Rather than just send a simple message to players, the black hole idea became a massive marketing event that kept Fortnite in the news even though people weren’t able to play the game. When players were allowed back on the servers they then had access to a brand new map and a plethora of new content.

Now that Season 2 has launched, Epic Games is unveiling a lot of new content for the update. PC Gamer reports that players will now have the ability to unlock the Deadpool skin, but in a way that is fundamentally different than the usual method of unlocking skins. Players must first click on a secret vent on the Battle Pass menu, and from there access a computer to be given a list of challenges. The first challenge has players finding a letter from The Merc With a Mouth, while the second tells players not to thank the bus driver on the next drop. Sadly players can not unlock Deadpool at this time, but must continue to complete his challenges throughout the season.

The beginning of Chapter 2 has truly shaken up Fortnite. The biggest change has been the brand new map, which is a mountainous region that gives players the opportunity to focus on vertical gameplay. Additionally, there are new water inlets on the map that players can navigate using boats or the new swimming mechanic. Epic Games managed to further set this update apart by adding in brand new guns and reworking the Battle Pass to help with the grind progression.

Chapter 2 of Fortnite is already shaping up to be truly different than what players are used to, and the addition of Deadpool to the game is an interesting choice. The mercenary’s particular brand of comedy is difficult to nail down, so hopefully Epic Games is up to the task. More than that though Deadpool’s fourth wall breaking could have some intriguing implications for the future of Fortnite, as long as the game chooses to prioritize it. Fans will just have to wait and see what the rest of Season 2 has in store.
