While Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War are currently the hot superhero movie discussion topics, Deadpool is still as much of a household name as he was on the weekend of the film’s debut in February. Now, as fans eagerly await the Blu-Ray/DVD release, FOX has begun to drop the first peeks at what fans can expect.

Case in point: an all-new deleted scene gives Deadpool the montage treatment, with a spin that fits the character all too well. Between “decorating” for the holidays and showing how well-acquainted he is with his right hand, Wade Wilson’s (Ryan Reynolds) transformation into a crazed vigilante is a little less-than-safe for the eyes of innocents, such as children or Captain America.

The deleted scene (an MTV exclusive) kicks off with what we saw in the theatrical cut of the film: Deadpool becoming who he is in scenes that are spliced over the “Deadpool Rap” by TEAMHEADKICK, with even more for fans to explore in extra cut scenes. We see the Merc with a Mouth slowly knocking off the first of his prey, while adding a wonderful holiday flair to his psychotic stalker-esque pinboard. The scene is just one included on the upcoming Deadpool Blu-ray and DVD release, which hits shelves everywhere on May 10.

Along with shots of endless bloody murder, the clip is also packed with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Easter eggs for fans of comics and cult films alike. One such moment occurs when Wade is beating away under his blanket and reading “The Canadian Mounted”, the same book that John Candy reads in 1987’s Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. The original joke in Planes was that Candy, a Canadian, was playing an American, so the cover was made up as a shot at that when the film’s script called for his character to read “a pornographic novel”. In reality, the book doesn’t exist at all, and this joke feels like an homage to that. The other masturbatory shot (really) involves Wade getting down with himself and a plush pony, but we’ll save speculation on the meaning behind that before we go too far. Also in the scene, Blind Al’s IKEA struggles pepper the carnage and NSFW hand action with a little humanity from someone who couldn’t give less of a [hoot] about other humans.

Deadpool will be released on Blu-ray on May 10, 2016. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters May 27th, 2016, followed by Wolverine 3 on March 3rd, 2017, and unannounced X-Men films on October 6th, 2017 (possibly Gambit), January 12th, 2018 (possibly Deadpool 2), and July 13th, 2018. The New Mutants is also in development.
