DC Comics’ newly reunited Young Justice saw their roster expand as the different heroes from the Wonder Comics imprint join the members of the team. The expanded roster, thanks to writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist John Timms, is set to take on S.T.A.R. Labs and find their missing teammate Superboy.

The series began with the original members of Red Robin (now Drake), Wonder Girl and Impulse reuniting as Lord Opal of Gemworld invaded Metropolis. These original members of Young Justice were joined by newcomers Jinny Hex, the great-great-granddaughter of Jonah Hex and Keli Quintela, who hacked into the Green Lantern power battery and adopted the name Teen Lantern.

Young Justice #12 begins with the team, realizing that Conner missing again and the team suspecting that Dr. Glory, who runs S.T.A.R. Labs is responsible. Tim decides that it is time to get the Justice League involved and send Wonder Girl, Impulse, and Teen Lantern to the Hall of Justice to inform the League of the situation with S.T.A.R. Labs. The trio is captured by the League interns Jayna and Zan, the Wonder Twins, and try to explain who they are and why they need the help of the League.

The Wonder Twins inform the members of Young Justice that the League is unavailable due to being away on a mission as Bart then uses Barry’s Hall of Justice I.D. to override the Emergency Clearance Code, preventing the Twins engaging in superhero activities. Bart welcomes them to the ranks of Young Justice, and the five heroes return to Oregon and reunite with the rest of the team who are waiting for them. As the young heroes begin to access the situation, another dimensional portal opens and Miguel and Summer, the stars of the Dial H for Hero series appear.

Miguel and Summer tell the rest of the group that they were in the process of dialing, and the phone overcharged and sent them there. Robin, a former user of the dial, says that if they are the ones entrusted with the H-Dial, then they can be trusted. This new Wonder League set out to rescue Conner and takedown Dr. Glory and S.T.A.R. Labs. The final splash page is the new expanded Young Justice team (with Miguel, having dialed in a particular Bendis creation from the Marvel Universe) headed out to rescue Conner and find Dr. Glory.

The additions of the Wonder Twins and the H-Dialers are not the only teen heroes joining the ranks of Young Justice. The cover to Young Justice #14 teases the addition of Tim’s girlfriend Stephanie “Spoiler” Brown, Jackson “Aqualad” Hyde, Derek “Sideways” James, and a female archer who looks to be Cissie “Arrowette” King-Jones. Whether these new editions to the Young Justice team are permanent or just temporary, Dr. Glory best be prepared as this new Young Justice Wonder League brings the fight to S.T.A.R. Labs’ front door.
